Do you have a coverage gap?

Have you recently made a change in the corporate structure or ownership of your practice? Are you thinking about making such a change? If so, here are a few things to keep in mind about your insurance coverage with TMLT.

  • If you are the sole proprietary member of a professional association (PA) or professional limited liability company (PLLC), the association or company will have coverage under your individual TMLT policy on a shared-limit basis.

  • Should the ownership of a solely owned professional association (PA) or professional limited liability company (PLLC) change to  joint ownership with other physicians, coverage is no longer afforded to the association or company under your individual TMLT coverage. This means you could have gaps in your coverage and may need entity coverage.

  • If the ownership of your association or company has changed, please contact TMLT to discuss your needs for entity coverage.

  • If you are employing more than 3 physicians under your solely owned professional association (PA) or professional limited liability company (PLLC), it may be a good time to contact TMLT to discuss your coverage and the coverage of your employed physicians.

To contact us about this or any other change in coverage, please submit a contact form, send an email to underwriting@tmlt.org or call 800-580-8658 and ask for your underwriter.
