Opioid epidemic and your practice

It’s been one year since mandatory use of the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program began. In this webinar, attorney Brett Rowe will provide an update on the implications for physician practices. CME course objectives: - discuss the issues physicians face in the opioid epidemic; - describe Texas laws including the Texas PMP and other methods intended to promote safer opioid prescribing; - summarize ways to limit TMB complaints and liability exposure when prescribing opioids; and - identify patients who exhibit manipulative behaviors and how to effectively handle drug-seeking patients. Our webinars are designated as a 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
